Common questions
How do I know which service is right for me?
If you're not sure, that's exactly what the free site review is for. Send me your URL and I'll tell you where things stand and which service would have the biggest impact. There's no obligation, and the review is free regardless of what you decide.
What happens when I get in touch?
I'll respond within 24 hours, usually the same day. If you have an existing site, I'll take a look before we speak so I can give you something useful straight away.
Do you need to see my current site before giving a quote?
Yes, where possible. A free review means the quote is based on what the site actually needs. Most clients find out things they didn't know were problems along the way.
Can I move from one service to another?
Yes, and most clients do. A one-page site can become a custom build, and the whole £500 comes off the price if you move within 18 months. A new build often becomes a retainer once the site is live. A refresh client might come back the following year for a custom build when the business has outgrown the structure it has. The services are designed to fit together over time rather than as separate decisions.
Can one person really handle everything?
Yes. Strategy, design, development, SEO, analytics, and ongoing support, all handled by one Squarespace specialist from start to finish. Nothing gets lost between departments because there are no departments. Where a project needs something I don't do, like specialist photography or copywriting beyond what I can usefully contribute, I'll tell you upfront and recommend someone. But I won't subcontract the website itself.
Why does analytics setup matter if I'm not running ads yet?
Because by the time you want to run ads or make decisions based on data, you need historical data to work with. Getting tracking set up early costs nothing extra, and you have months of data ready when you need it.
Do you only work on Squarespace?
Primarily, yes. It's the platform I know inside out and where I do my best work. For the right project, I'll consider other platforms case by case. If you're not on Squarespace, send me your URL and I'll tell you honestly whether it's a fit.
Do you only work with clients in Worcester?
No. AUSTIN_SPACE is based in Worcester but most clients are remote, working with me from across the UK. Discovery and reviews happen over video call. If you're local, we can meet in person. If you're not, we don't.
