One-Page
Website
One page, built and finished, for your business. What you do, where you are, what people say about you, and how to get hold of you, all in one place someone can take in on a phone. Yours from the day it goes live.
£500
One page, and that is the point
One page, one form, one week. About fifteen minutes of your time, and the rest is mine.
Someone has been given your name
They look you up before they ring. They need to see you are real, work out whether you do the thing they need, and get hold of you. Three things, one page, about ten seconds.
You have the keys.
The site is in your name, on your account, and you can log in and change it whenever you like. If you would rather not spend an evening working out how, send me a message and small changes are £45, usually done the same day.
One page, one thing
A single page gets found for the main thing you do. If you offer six services and want to be found for all six, you need more pages than this.
Nothing to keep on top of
No plugins to update, no security patches, nothing expiring while you get on with the work. Squarespace handles all of it. Two costs after launch, neither of them mine: their plan at £12 a month, and the domain renewal once a year.
What a one-page site looks like
Maple & Bean is a demo business, but this is a real Squarespace build: the same layout, the same one-week turnaround, dressed in a different set of colours, copy and photography.
The homepage, at a glance
One scroll covers everything a visitor needs to know.
One page, doing the whole job
A proven layout, dressed in your brand
A layout that has been built and tested, then dressed in your colours, your type and your photographs. It arrives finished.
Your name, or a lockup if you need one
If you have a logo it goes on at the right size and spacing. If not, I build you a lockup: your name and trade as one fixed piece, yours to use anywhere. Icons are royalty-free and yours to reuse.
The words written for you
You do not need to arrive with copy. The form tells me what you do and who for, and I write the page from that. You see it before it goes in. If you already have wording you like, I will work with it instead. Photographs sourced where there are gaps.
Built round what you actually need
Opening hours, a map, your reviews, a gallery of your work. Whichever ones matter for your trade go on. The ones that do not are left off.
Titles, descriptions and alt text
Page title, description, headings and image alt text all written for the page, and the site submitted to Google so it starts showing up.
Domain connected
Whether you already own one or need one buying, it gets pointed at the site and secured.
Three steps, one week
You fill in one form
About fifteen minutes. Your details, what you do, and what you want someone to do when they land. Rough answers are fine. Anywhere you are not sure, write "not sure" and I will handle it.
I build it
One week. You see the finished page before it goes anywhere, and you get one round of changes.
It goes live
Domain connected, form tested, and it is yours. The Squarespace subscription is in your name from day one, so nobody can lock you out of your own website.
Which one do you need?
Two ways in, and they are not a better and a worse version of the same thing. They do different jobs. Most businesses can tell which one they are within about a sentence.
One Page, from £500
The business needs to exist online. Someone has been recommended you, they look you up, and they need to see you are real and get in touch. A sole trader or single-service business does not need more than this.
- New and early-stage businesses
- Solo professionals whose work is their credibility
- One main service, or one main audience
- You want a website, not a website to look after
Custom Build, from £2,500
The website has to produce something. Several services or audiences that each need their own page and their own argument. One page can rank for one thing, and that is a structural limit no amount of budget fixes.
- Several services that each need their own page
- Competing in search on more than your own name
- Booking, CRM or other tools to connect
- An established business with room to grow into it
Start on One Page and the full £500 comes off a Custom Build if you upgrade within 18 months.

What happens next
There is no monthly fee to me and no contract. The site is yours, in your name, from the day it goes live.
When something needs changing, you email or text me. Small changes are £45, covering up to half an hour, which is most things. Anything larger gets a price before I start.
If you later want development work beyond small changes, that runs at £85 an hour on a site I built, versus £120 an hour standard rate.
You can also log in and change it yourself whenever you want. If you would rather not, that is what the £45 is for.
Pricing
£500, once, agreed before anything starts. There are two other costs and they are not mine, so they are listed here.
One-Page Website
Everything above, built and live
Squarespace Basic
Paid by you, direct to Squarespace, first year discounted (£10.80/mo equivalent)
Domain name
Free for the first year, then around £16
That table figure already includes the 10% partner discount, applied automatically. I build on a Squarespace partner trial, so you pay Squarespace nothing at all while the site is being made. When it goes live you take over the subscription in your own name, and my partner discount takes 10% off your first year. That works out at £129.60 for the year, domain included.
Common questions
What if I need more than one page later?
The full £500 comes off a Custom Build if you upgrade within 18 months. Nothing gets thrown away either: moving from Basic to Core is a plan change on the same site, not a rebuild, so your domain, content and form all carry across and the page you started with becomes the homepage.
Do I actually own it?
Yes. The Squarespace subscription is in your name and paid by you from the day it goes live. If you ever want to take it elsewhere, or hand it to someone else, you can. Nothing is held hostage.
Who buys the domain?
You do, and it stays in your name. If you do not have one yet, the simplest route is taking it through Squarespace while the site is being set up, which means it is free for the first year and sits on the same account as everything else. One renewal date, one place to look. If you already own a domain, I will point it at the new site instead. Either way the wiring is my job and it is included.
What if I need something changed?
Email or text me. Small changes are £45, which covers up to half an hour and is most things. Anything bigger gets a price before I start. There is no monthly fee and no contract.
Can I have a blog?
Squarespace can turn one on, so yes if you want it. But a blog only helps if you actually post, and an abandoned one dated eighteen months ago does more harm than not having one at all. If you are serious about publishing regularly, that is usually the point where a Custom Build makes more sense.
Why Squarespace and not something cheaper?
Because it stays up and stays current without anyone having to maintain it. No security updates to chase, no plugins to break, nothing that stops working because a version number moved. You pay Squarespace directly at £12 a month, and with my partner discount your first year is £129.60 with the domain included.
How long does it really take?
One week from the point your form comes back. The form is the thing that sets the clock going, because the words come out of your answers.
